HDPE (Polyethylene) Sheet Black 1.00″ Thick x 24″ Wide x 48″ Long Cut from larger sheets, they are not protective or film masked, general purpose, and may have some scratches and scuffs. Non UV Stabilized, Utility Grade Thickness Tolerance +/- 10%Width and Length Tolerance +/- .187″ HDPE is a high impact strength and high density polyethylene. HDPE has excellent tensile strength, energy absorption, abrasion resistance and resistance to stress cracks. HDPE has little branching, giving it stronger intermolecular forces and tensile strength than lower-density polyethylene. The difference in strength exceeds the difference in density, giving HDPE a higher specific strength. It is also harder and more opaque and can withstand somewhat higher temperatures (120 °C/ 248 °F for short periods, 82.2 °C /180 °F continuously). High-density polyethylene, unlike polypropylene, cannot withstand normally-required autoclaving conditions. This version of HDPE is softer than other textured versions of HDPE and can scratch easily. Light markings or lines may be commonly found on the surface due to the processes used by the manufacturer. All of our dimensions are NOMINAL. There is a tolerance of (+/-)1/8″ or 0.118″This material has unfinished saw cut edges.We also can do custom cuts, a minimum of 10 pieces. We cannot cut anything under 6″.
